We are beginning our Seasonal Festivities, the repeated watching of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the watching of the Star Wars trilogy, the real Stars Wars trilogy…
With this tutorial, you can make an authentic looking Star Wars inspired opening sequence, super easy, and with no new software packages. QuickTime Pro is a help, however.
The movie Star Wars (AKA: Star Wars: A New Hope) opened in theaters across the country and set the record for the largest grossing film to date. In my mind, which seldom accounts for much, there are only three *real* Star Wars movies, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. None have the prefix “Star Wars:”.
Now, having made that rather absolutist statement, let me strategically redeploy. I have come to really enjoy all six films, especially Revenge of the Sith. They are two separate but linked trilogies in the same universe, rather than a series of six. If that makes sense
Our young padawan has seen four of the six movies. Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith will come later. All in good time.
[evening update:] Dr. ‘Liz passed along the linky goodness of Vincent Canby’s New York Times movie review from May 26, 1977, ‘Star Wars’ A Trip to a Far Galaxy That’s Fun and Funny . You’ll probably need a NYT login or use BugMeNot since the article is so old. Thanks, ‘Liz!
See Democrats actually doing oversight!
