Happy Birthday, Al Gore!

It happened in 1948. Al Gore, Vice President of the United States and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize was born.

Are we destined to destroy this place that we call home, planet Earth? I can’t believe that that’s our destiny. It is not our destiny. But we have to awaken to the moral duty that we have to do the right thing, and get out of this silly political game playing about it. This is about survival.
–Al Gore, from his recent 60 Minutes interview

  1. If somebody asked Al Gore to have a debate on quantum mechanics or algebraic topology he would definitely reply that can’t debate it because he doesn’t know much on these topics. How about climatology? What kind of arrogance makes him think that he knows anything on this subject?

In his next “60 minutes” interview I want him discuss Borsuk–Ulam theorem, not Global Warming!

  2. Hi Ivan,

Why in heaven’s name should Gore discuss the Borsuk–Ulam theorem? What does that have to do with climatology?

Granted, Gore may not have deep understanding of the mathematical and computational climate modeling process that is used to undergird many of his presentations, that’s what the scientists do that inform those presentations. Or do you not understand how public advocacy of science policy works?

BTW, your IvanMoroz.com domain does not seem to resolve, at least on my machine. Oh, and what is this about? You’re going to make me suspect you are a troll or something… Hmm, how would one be a ‘liberal fascist’ anyway? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means –Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Oh, I get it. It’s April Fool’s Day! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I’m English and we love American politics. It’s so much more fun than our boring MPs. Al Gore is a prime example!
