Don’t Tex with Mexas

Had some real old-fashioned Plains weather, not like that sissy Nevada climate stuff. Dark, ominous clouds that kept getting lower, with that yellow-green hail tint along with 50-60 mph wind gusts blowing strong rain horizontally with simultaneous lightning flashes and thunder in the clouds just above.

I was on the Interstate (I-820) in sw Fort Worth when all this came to a head and traffic stopped for a bit. I assume because their windshield wipers couldn’t keep up either.

And 20 minutes later the sun was out. This so reminds me of the weather growing up in eastern Kansas. 🙂
